Heidi Schultz auditioned for NBC's hit show, The Biggest Loser, when they did a casting call in Tampa, June 27, 2009. Realizing she wouldn't make the cut, Heidi had a decision to make: was her journey to a healthy lifestyle going to depend on the show, or was she ready to take personal responsibility to set a goal and pursue it?
That's when she called The Morning Cruise.
This blog is a record of her story and an encouragement for you to consider what one of the producers of the NBC show told contestants: "If you have four hours to stand in line today, you have at least an hour, three times a week, to hit the gym!" Heidi took his challenge to heart and decided not only to help herself, but also to inspire others. Please visit often to see how she's doing.
Most of the time, Heidi will be doing her own posts, but The Morning Cruise will also update this blog with resources, video and audio from our show.

I am one of the lucky few that know you so VERY well, I know how far out of your comfort zone this is for you. Mom, I am soo proud of you. I know you've always felt this struggle with your weight and you know I've always told you how beautiful you are, even when you don't see it yourself. I know that you can see this through, with all the love and support that you have behind you. I wish I could be there with you in Florida to go to the gym with you and be a part of what is going to be a huge experience in your life. You give me hope. That no matter what we think is holding us back, can be overcome, all we have to do is get up and take that first step (and you jumped). You have my full support in your endeavor and I wish you happiness, above all. I don't care about the numbers, I want you to be happy with yourself, ultimately. You make me want to be a better person. I love you!
